Looking Back: National Nutrition Month 2010

The Knoxville District Dietetic Association celebrates National Nutrition Month every March. KDDA asked the community to do some creative and original cooking for National Nutrition Month 2010: Nutrition from the Ground Up. With the help of Earth Fare and Dr. John Mount in the Food Science and Technology Department at UT, our talented competitors made our first Cook Off a delicious success!

Fresh ingredients provided by our friends at Earth Fare!
3rd Place: Claudia Favre with Mashed Sweet Potatoes
2nd Place: Jennifer Lee with Potted Plant
First Place: Karen Lacey with Sweet Potato Saute
Finalists with (from left) KDDA National Nutrition Month Co-Chairs Jennifer Nicklas and Rachel Kinney, Earth Fare Community Coordinator Kate Joy, Dr. John Mount, and KDDA President Karen Wetherall
